Luperon Marina
Luperon Marina is, a term that has defined one of the most important natural harbors in the Caribbean, specially in the Puerto Plata region of Dominican Republic. in reality, Luperon Bay is the bigger picture of something larger that houses a public pier on the shores of the city of Luperon, and a private marina called Puerto Blanco. To most people this is all known as the Luperon Marina.
Luperon Bay is considered the safest natural harbor in the region, where most ( if not ) all vessels go to if a storm threatens the area. The bay has a beautiful landscape with twisting turns and mangrove formations that create the ideal conditions for yachting in Puerto Plata.

Puerto Blanco
The private marina in Luperon offers, as their manager states: Inside the bay, Puerto Blanco is a fully enclosed marina with the ability to moor yachts with drafts up to eight feet. The marina is popular for hosting lively nights with Dominican food, merengue dancing, and local attractions, for those docking their yachts here, serving as the headquarters for the cruising community.

The marina offers a restaurant with ample deck, bar, and international menu; craft beer, Spanish and American wines, and non alcoholic beverages. Nearby Luperon Beach, Fricolandia, La Isabela, and other interesting tours make this a great choice for yachting in Puerto Plata.
Reaching the marina in Luperon takes about 2 hours driving from Puerto Plata’s main city center, it is an interesting drive via Guananico and many small towns. The road is in perfect condition, any sedan can make it with minimal effort. This is a great tour that takes about a day if you want to spend time there, have lunch at the marina restaurant, take a tour and visit other places.
